Servicemen return to Davis-MonthanPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Monday dozens of service members were reunited with their loved ones at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base after spending half a year apart.
Some of the service members had to do some extra waiting. Starting Sunday members of the 354th Fighter Squadron have been returning to the base after a six month deployment at the Osan Air Base in the Republic of Korea.
The group that arrived this evening were delayed because of some aircraft maintenance issues.
Several families showed up holding their welcome home signs, and preparing their cameras for the big moment.
About thirty pilots and support crew from the group known as the Bulldogs flew in around 6:30 P.M.
Members of the 355th Maintenance Group also returned Monday and some of their superiors took some time to thank them for their service before they spread out.
Some of these arrivals get pushed back for various reasons, but it makes those reunions extra sweet.
