PHOENIX -- Two music students -- cello players -- from Croatia are making their dreams of rock stardom come true after a video they posted on YouTube -- a cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" -- went viral. Their clip got more than 5 million hits in less that three months.

Some of those viewers were influential people -- very influential people.

Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, both 24, were already quite accomplished when it came two classical music. Both had performed around the world. One had even performed for Prince Charles -- twice.

But they wanted more.

"We felt there was a rock animal inside of us, always" Hauser said. "We wanted to play with excitement and power and adrenaline."

With help from a friend, they made a video of their cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal."

"I put it up and it spread fast," Sulic said.

That video went viral, opening some major doors for the duo.

Behind one of those doors was Sir Elton John. He wanted the guys to join him on tour. Talk about dreams coming true.

After a performance with John in Rio next week, 2Cellos will be appearing at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas beginning Sept. 28. They'll be opening for John.
