Arizona Restaurant Week kicks off this weekend

PHOENIX -- Some people call it the best week of the year -- Arizona Restaurant Week.

For nine days, more than 200 restaurants throughout the state will offer up their best at a discounted price.

The state is broken up into three zones -- northern, central and southern. From there, restaurants are tagged by cuisine type, price and city.

All the restaurants will offer fabulous prix-fixe menus -- three course meals -- for $20, $30 or $40 person, excluding drinks, tax and tip. The bulk of the restaurants are in the $30 group and many of them do include a beverage. There are even some places offering two for $30.

If there's a restaurant you've been dying to try, now is the time to do it. With the number of places taking part in Arizona Restaurant Week, there's a wide variety of cuisine choices, which means there's something for everyone. There are even vegetarian and gluten-free options available.

While tickets are not necessary, reservations are highly recommended. These are popular restaurants and with such great deals, they tend to fill up fast.

Arizona Restaurant Week, which is presented by the Arizona Restaurant Association, starts Saturday, Sept. 17, and runs through Sept. 25. For participating restaurants, visit
