Court appearance for woman who spoke of bomb threats at Tucson airportPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A woman who wanted to keep her mother and brother from flying to New York near 9/11 is in trouble for making a fake bomb threat.
The FBI says the New York woman called the Tucson Airport police twice to say she had overheard details of a bomb plot targeting a Southwest Airlines flight on Sept. 10.
Because of the calls, luggage was taken off the flight and a search was done, but no bomb was found.
The woman made her first court appearance in New York Tuesday.
