Mark Ditmar, an art teacher at Mt. View Elementary School, says at Mt. View, skills in the arts are recognized as essential to lifelong success both in and out of school. He says during June, 4-weeks of summer classes were offered to students. They spent 5 hours a day, 4 days a week, learning story boarding, digital animation, and sculpture. Ditmar says MV is the only elementary school in the District (and maybe SCC) that has a digital animation program for children.
