Michele Bachmann dines at Tee Pee during Phoenix visitPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Republican presidential hopefuls are making their way to Arizona.
On Tuesday night, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann made a surprise visit to the state. She dined at Phoenix Mexican restaurant Tee Pee with Cindy McCain.
"Just flew in from what I understand," said Tee Pee manager Jeff Killeen. He said the congresswoman was friendly to all who approached and asked for photos.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is expected to hold two events in Arizona on Wednesday.
In the morning he is set to host a business round table event in Tuscon at the Jim Click Ford Lincoln East Dealership. At 3 p.m. he will host a town hall meeting in Sun Lakes at the Oakwood Clubhouse.
Bachmann will hold a private fundraiser Wednesday night.
The visits come days after Gov. Jan Brewer announced Arizona would hold its presidential primary on Feb. 28, 2012. The date is earlier than is allowed under RNC rules.
Brewer also announced the state will likely host a Republican presidential debate, possibly in December.
