Giffords' office says ABC interview announcement a bit prematurePosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- ABC News Monday indicating Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords would grant her first on-camera interview to Diane sawyer in November.
But the Congresswoman's office was quick to point out the statement was a bit premature.
For now Giffords' spokesman Mark Kimble can only confirm that husband Mark Kelly will appear in the interview.
Whether or not the Congresswoman does depends on her progress in therapy. Kimble says for now she's undecided.
Giffords' book, written with Kelly, is out November 15, and ABC said it plans to air the interview the night before.
The Congresswoman is in Houston undergoing therapy after being shot in the head in January.
