PHOENIX – A bride who was arrested at her own wedding reception after she kicked a police officer was sentenced to six months probation.

Angela Davito, 28, will also have to complete four hours of community service for her conviction on a charge of attempted aggravated assault.

Gilbert police officers responded to a brawl at Davito's wedding reception in March. The officers used pepper spray after their commands to stop fighting were ignored.

The partygoers reportedly became angry and aggressive toward the officers.

Davito, who was wearing a white dress and brown cowboy boots, was arrested after she charged a partygoer and kicked a police officer in the groin.
