Tucson Republicans write-in mayoral candidatePosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tuesday night the Republican candidates and their supporters met at McMahon's Steakhouse.
The big question at stake for the GOP was if Rick Grinnell would get enough votes to represent the party in the General Elections.
Mayoral candidate Republican Rick Grinnell needed 1,060 votes to get into the General and it seems that he got those votes that he needed.
As the crowd of supporters roared they found out that Grinnell got more than he needed.
The latest tally 5,700 votes.
Grinnell says the voters have spoken and they want a new voice in Southern Arizona.
