Children's Miracle network radiothon raises big money for TMC children's programsPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Children's Miracle Network held their annual radiothon Friday at Tucson Medical Center.
The event was put on by 92.9 The Mountain. The money pays for many of the childrens' programs offered through TMC. Just over $207,000 was raised. More than 250 volunteers participated in the 3-day event.
"It's really just about, kinda the community coming together and supporting programs for children in Southern Arizona. TMC is a community hospital so no child get turned away. Every child receives the exact same care, the excellent care that they have here at TMC," said Jennie Grabel from 92.9.
TMC serves more than 40,000 children annually.
