PHOENIX -- Phoenix police responded to a shooting call at Betty Fairfax High School just before 9 p.m. Friday evening.
The incident is still under investigation, but police said a 16-year-old boy suffered a leg wound in what is now being called an accidental shooting. The boy was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Hundreds of students and family members were on hand for the first football game of the season between Fairfax and Millennium High Schools. Millennium went on to win the game 32, 18.
