TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Pima County Department of Transportation has another tool to try and stop or slow down speeders.
The county is using digital display speed signs to encourage drivers to lay off the gas.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department identified sections of Aviation, River and First Avenue as locations of speedy drivers.
So, the DOT placed the displays in those area at a cost of about $2,000 including installation.
The displays are currently used for awareness only and not for enforcement.
