Jury reaches verdict in vigilante shooting casePosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Finally, after four trials, a jury reached a unanimous verdict in the vigilante shooting case involving Daniel Renteria.
They found him not guilty of manslaughter, but guilty of a lesser offense called negligent homicide.
Renteria killed two men, one of whom molested his 3-year-old son.
Renteria claims the men threatened to kill him if he went to police about the molestation and he shot them after they came after him.
Renteria will be sentenced October 12.
