Canadian man located by Mesa police

UPDATE: David James McMillan was located Thursday afternoon by Mesa police.

No word on where the man was or why he went missing. Also police not stating his condition when officers located him.

ORIGINAL: TEMPE, Ariz. -- Tempe police are turning to the public for help finding a man who has been missing since very early Monday morning.

David James McMillan was last seen by friends at about 1:30 a.m. Monday. He was staying with those friends at an apartment complex on McClintock Drive south of Southern Avenue.

McMillan is from Vancouver, British Columbia, and was in Temp for what was supposed to be a short visit. He actually was supposed to fly home Monday.

Police said McMillan, 36, left behind his identification and did not have access to a car.

McMillan is described as a white male with black hair and blue eyes. He 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and cargo shorts.

Law-enforcement agencies throughout the state and the Canadian Consulate have been notified about McMillan’s disappearance.
