Children's Miracle Network gets big donationPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Pizza Hut and the Reid Park Zoo teamed up to make a donation to the Children's Miracle Network Tuesday afternoon.
Children's Miracle Network representatives received a check for $8,500.
The money raised will help children in need of treatment and relief and go towards the children's wing at Tucson Medical Center.
"And incorporated the zoo as a partner for this. They did an incredible job, as you can see, with the money that was raised," said Erika Grasse with the Children's Miracle Network.
"It just means a lot to be able to give back to the community hospital that's been helping and supporting families in the community for so many years," said Tracey Smalling with Pizza Hut.
Pizza Hut raised the funds by collecting donations from customers, who in return received a Reid Park Zoo coloring and activity book.
