GLENDALE, Ariz. - Police are questioning several individuals after a woman was kidnapped early Sunday morning.

Maricopa County sheriff's deputies are investigating after a woman was reportedly kidnapped as she was entering her place of business, described only as a retail store, by four armed men.

The victim was taken to a Traveler's Inn motel located near Interstate 10 and First Avenue where police say she was terrorized for several hours.

The captors allegedly called people known to the victim and demanded ransom money for her release.

MCSO deputies coordinated a sting operation and officers were able arrest one man at the ransom drop-off location.

“The money was dropped off at a separate location from here and then we did have our detectives and our undercover deputies follow them to this location,” said Sgt. Jesse Spurgin with MCSO.

Several other people were also taken into custody at the motel. The victim was unharmed.
