Larry Fitzgerald inks 8-year deal with CardinalsPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Larry Fitzgerald, the five-time Pro-Bowl wide receiver has signed a new deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
The deal keeps Fitzgerald under contract through 2018.
In accordance with team policy terms of the deal were not disclosed. General Manager Rod Graves had stated previously the team was prepared to make Fitzgerald the highest paid player in team history and one of the highest paid players in the NFL.
Fitzgerald is entering his eighth season with the Cardinals. He was the third overall pick in 2004.
With 613 receptions, Fitzgerald is the team's all-time leading receiver and is second in franchise history in receiving with 8,204 yards.
Fitzgerald's 65 touchdowns also place him second in team history behind Roy Green with 66.
