PHOENIX -- The couple behind "Fuel," a award-winning movie that made a lot of people think about oil, gas and fossil fuels and received 11 standing ovation sat the Sundance Film Festival, is back with a new documentary.
Rebecca Tickell stopped by to tell Tara Hitchcock all about "Freedom," which won the Golden Ace Award at the Las Vegas Film Festival. It's about finding alternative fuel sources, many of which are already available.
While "Big Oil" certainly part of the problem, according to Tickell, it's not the entire issue.
"I think the main problem is that people are misinformed," Tickell said. "They don't realize that there is an alternative available right now -- today -- that's cheaper than petroleum, that also could save the American economy. ... I promise you, you will be shocked at what's available right now here in Arizona."
The documentary features Jason Mraz, Michelle Rodriguez, Amy Smart and Ed Begley Jr., who will actually be in Phoenix with the Freedom Bus for the screenings.
"Freedom" will be shown in Phoenix tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the AMC Arizona Center; in Sedona on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 3 p.m., at the Performing Arts Center at the Sedona Red Rock High; and in Flagstaff on Monday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m., at the Orpheum Theater.
