Man sentenced to 25 years in smoke-shop killingPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) -- A man accused in a fatal shooting during a robbery of a Chandler smoke shop in 2008 has been sentenced Wednesday to 25 years in prison.
Maricopa County Superior Court says 22-year-old Cesar Felipe Buis pleaded guilty earlier to second degree murder and armed robber.
Chandler police say 26-year-old Shawn Michael Foote was shot in the head at the Smoke'N'Stuff shop on Feb. 9, 2008.
Foote was part owner of the shop. He later died at a Chandler hospital.
The case went unsolved for seven months before police received information that led to Buis' arrest.
