PHOENIX - The identity of a man found dead at Homestead Park early Saturday morning has been identified.
According to Phoenix police, shortly after 7 a.m. a Phoenix City Streets employee was contacted by a person who told him he had found the body of a man, Albert Chavez, 38, in the park near 26th and Glendale avenues.
The employee said there appeared to be trauma to the body. Officers arrived and determined it was a homicide.
