Tucson headlines: Accident suspect poses as witness; Poisoning arrest; SV pharmacy robbery

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A driver on Oracle Road north of Tucson is accused of hitting a pedestrian then coming back and pretending to be a witness.

Quinn Bishop, 31, is charged with DUI and aggravated assault.

Deputies say he hit a man crossing oracle near roller coaster, left the scene, parked and came back acting like he saw the whole thing happen.

Witnesses say Bishop was driving the pick up that hit the pedestrian.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Tucson woman is accused of trying to poison her fiance and his mother.

Tina Beerens, 22, is charged with attempted murder.

Police say she used ant poison to try and kill the man and his mom, whom Beerens lived with.

Police took samples of ice from the family's refrigerator to test for poison.


SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. -- Sierra Vista police are looking for a man who robbed the pharmacy at Kmart.

It happened Wednesday at noon.  The man was armed and asked for prescription meds.

No one was hurt.

Detectives described the suspect as a white man in his early 20s tall, skinny with blonde hair.

He wore a bandanna across his face as a disguise plus a black t-shirt and jeans, a baseball cap, and he had large-gauge earrings through both ears.
