Workers in Glendale discover human bonesPosted: Updated:
GLENDALE, Ariz. - A construction crew made a grisly discovery Thursday in Glendale while doing some excavation work.
Workers were digging on private property near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road when they found human bones in a drainage ditch.
“It appears the bones are old of course have elements outside, heat, wind, rain in drainage ditch so it's very difficult to tell age or gender at this point,” Officer Tracey Breeden said.
Based on the investigation, Glendale police say the bones are not from a child.
The medical examiner's office processed the area and collected the bones.
They will work with anthropologists to determine the age and gender of the findings.
