Storms to returnPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Welcome back, humidity! After a couple of dry days with humidity levels in the teens and 20s, Valley residents woke up to 50-percent humidity Thursday morning.
Monsoon moisture is moving into Arizona from the south, and that means an increased chance of storms today through Saturday.
A couple weather disturbances, or circulations, are moving up from Mexico as well, which could help trigger more widespread thunderstorms than Arizona has seen in the past few days.
Look for a high of 102 degrees today in the Valley, with a 20-percent chance of storms this afternoon and evening.
Overnight lows should dip to the low 80s tonight.
Plan on highs of 104 Friday and Saturday.
Our increased chance of storms continues through Saturday. Sunday and early next week, drier air returns, bringing storm chances back into the "slight" category.
