MESA, Ariz. -- "Twilight" actor Kiowa Gordon reportedly is out on bail after Tempe police arrested him on an outstanding warrant stemming from his failure to appear in a Mesa court following his September arrest for driving under the influence of drugs.

Gordon was a passenger in a vehicle registered to him when he was stopped by Tempe police officers at approximately 6:50 a.m. Monday, according to Mesa police Sgt. Ed Wessing.

A registration check showed two outstanding misdemeanor warrants had been issued for his arrest. One warrant was for a failure to appear charge issued by the Mesa Municipal Court, with a bond of $1,000. The other had been issued by the Scottsdale Municipal Court, with a $500 bond.

Tempe officers arrested Gordon for the warrants and handed him over to the Mesa Police Department for processing.

According to Wessing, a Mesa officer stopped Gordon at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 2 after seeing his vehicle drifting into the bicycle lane near Southern Avenue and Superstition Springs Boulevard.

During the traffic stop, the officer reportedly observed numerous clues of impairment and suspected Kiowa was under the influence of marijuana.

Gordon was arrested and later released with a citation to appear in the Mesa Municipal Court. An arrest warrant was issued after Gordon failed to appear on Feb. 25.

Wessing said there were no new charges as a result of Monday's traffic stop.

Gordon reportedly was released from the Maricopa County jail after posting $1,000 bail Wednesday morning.

Gordon plays werewolf Embry Call in "New Moon" and "Eclipse" and is set to appear in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn."
