Reward offered in Fry's liquor robbery

PHOENIX – Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 to help locate two suspects involved in an armed robbery at a Phoenix grocery store.

Police said the man and woman entered the Fry's store at Hatcher Road and Eighth Street at approximately 4 p.m. on July 28. They reportedly took two bottles of liquor and put them in a shopping cart then concealed the bottles in a black bag and left the store without paying.

Loss Prevention officers contacted the woman carrying the bag and attempted to retrieve the property. The man then tried to stab an officer with a 6-inch butterfly knife.

The suspects fled on foot with the liquor.

The male suspect is described as Caucasian, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, 145 to 155 pounds with short hair. The female suspect is described as Caucasian, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds. She has a large tattoo on her left shoulder and a black tattoo on her right calf.
