TUCSON, Ariz. -- Communities in South Tucson, celebrated outside Tuesday night, in an effort to come together and prevent crime.
National Night Out heightens crime, drugs, and violence prevention awareness by strengthening neighborhood spirit.
By participating in local anti-crime programs, they send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
"Make SouthTucson better a lot better you know help each other try to get all the graffiti, gangs, out of this way so it can be better for the seniors and the youth too," said participant Manny Romero.
Tuesday night's event included a youth talent show, games music food and more.
