'At the Devils Table' - William RempelPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The drug-trafficking problem we're seeing in Mexico today are similar to those in Columbia 20 years ago.
A new book by investigative journalist William Rempel tells the story of the one man who helped bring down the entire Cali cartel.
It's called "At the Devil's Table."
Rempel sat down with Kaley O'Kelley to talk about the book and how Jorge Salcedo, "an ordinary man facing an extraordinary dilemma," escaped the crime syndicate and helped out an end to the cartel, saving the life of a witness targeted for murder in the process.
Salcedo remains in hiding, but shared his entire experience with Rempel -- only Rempel. The result is "At the Devil's Table."
Rempel will be signing copies of his book, "At the Devil’s Table," tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Changing Hands bookstore in Tempe. For more information, visit www.williamrempel.com.
