Police have few details in Phoenix homicide

PHOENIX - Police have few details to go on in the investigation of the homicide of a man in west Phoenix.

Police responded to a shooting call around 11 p.m. Thursday evening after a witness found the victim lying in some grass near Highland and 20th avenues.

The victim, Joseph Troogstad, 26, was being treated by the witness, who did not see what happened.

It is unknown where Troogstad was living at the time of the shooting.

Troogstad was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Investigators have very little to go on, so they are asking the public for help.
