Former MCSO chief deputy's son arrested on DUI suspicion

PHOENIX – The son of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s former chief deputy was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Jeffery Hendershott, 29, the son of Sheriff Joe’s former chief deputy, David Hendershott, was taken into custody Tuesday morning.

Jeffery was reportedly arrested at about 6 a.m. by Phoenix officers. He faces charges including failure to stay on the scene following a crash and driving under the influence.

He was booked into a Maricopa County jail but has since posted bond.
