Mt. Lemmon Post Office considered for closurePosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- The post office on Mt. Lemmon is one of eleven in Arizona being considered for closure by the postal service.
It's part of a broader cost-cutting move that could target up to 2,000 post offices, most in rural areas.
The agency lost eight and a half billion dollars last fiscal year, largely due to E-mail and inefficiency.
Also on the chopping block is the postal station in Topawa, near Eloy.
