PHOENIX – Raised here in the Valley, Laurie Notaro is not only an Arizona State University graduation and a former columnist for the Arizona Republic, she’s also a New Your Times bestselling author.

The author of the "Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club,” Notaro has a new book out and she’s in town to host a signing.

The new book is called "It Looked Different on the Model: Epic Tales of Impending Shame and Infamy,” and it promises to be hilarious. Notaro sat down with Kaley O’Kelley Wednesday morning to chat about the book, life in Eugene, Ore. (which is nothing like Phoenix) and signing.

Notaro will be at Changing Hands Bookstore, 6428 S. McClintock Dr., Tempe, Thursday at 7 p.m. For more information, call (480) 730-0205.
