Adeline Cripe, Reading is Fundamental, says RIF is the nation’s largest children’s literacy program. She says it’s supported in Santa Cruz County in part by the Nogales Womans Club. She says RIF was honored recently by the National Club as “program of the month.” She says almost 2,000 children are now served in SCC, at nine different schools.  She said the goal of the program is help children learn the value and fun of reading by book ownership.
