More storms?Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Sunday night was filled with thunder, lightning and wet weather across the Valley as monsoon storms rolled through. Rainfall totals ranged from about 0.1 inch in the West Valley, to more than 1 inch of rain downtown, in Tempe and in Mesa.
Blowing dust brought visibility down to a half mile in Chandler, and a dust storm warning was issued for the area by the National Weather Service.
Monsoon moisture remains plentiful in our atmosphere today, so there's about a 20-percent chance of more storms today, tonight and tomorrow.
Look for afternoon highs the next couple of days to be a little bit cooler, topping out near 100 to 103 degrees. Drier air looks to move into the state Wednesday, bringing a short break from the monsoon, but storm chances pick back up for next weekend.
