Burglars damage air conditioners at West Valley schoolPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - An elementary school in the West Valley is without air conditioners after burglars were caught stealing copper.
Early Sunday morning a security guard at Moya Elementary School stumbled across three males in the process of burglarizing the school.
It was determined the suspects destroyed 30 air conditioning units to steal the coils.
The suspects were able to evade air and K9 units and escape on foot.
Police did not give a description of the suspects except that there were three males.
The damage to the school is estimated to be approximately $360,000.
