Red Cross needs bloodPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A blood drive Thursday at Marana's Municipal Complex benefitted the local Red Cross which always needs to replenish its supply.
On average, Southern Arizona needs about 300 donors each day to keep pace.
"We always need blood, and about 5% of the people that are eligible to donate, donate. So, we really would love to have that, even 10% would be doubling our supply," said Arnold Arenas with the Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Red Cross.
