House fire on Tucson's south sidePosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused a house fire Tuesday morning on Tucson's south side.
Firefighters responded to calls of a car port on fire near 36th Street and Campbell Avenue.
They put out the flames and rescued a total of nine dogs.
"It looks like the fire extended a little bit up into the roof area and inside the home so we do have some smoke damage inside the home along with some of the electrical wiring that could have been damaged as well,"
No one was home at the time. The estimated damage comes to $50,000.
