Sheriff's department waiting tables for family fundraiserPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tucson's law enforcement community is coming together this week to help out a family who lost their little boy to cancer.
Julian Aguirre died last month after a two-year battle with leukemia. He was only four years old.
Since his father is an agent for Customs and Border Patrol, the Pima County Sheriff's Department decided to wait tables at the Texas Roadhouse to raise money for the family.
"Every once in a while you have a special story, something that touches the heart of many people, and that tends to pull everyone together and in those situations you get an out-pour like this," said Kubitskey.
The fundraiser will take place Monday and Tuesday at the Texas Roadhouse on Wilmot Road.
Deputies will be waiting tables from 2:00 to 10:00 P.M.
