Triple homicide remains unsolvedPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - It's been more than seven months since three men were found murdered at the base of the Salt River.
Police have few leads and now one of the victims' family is turning to the public for help.
On January 6 38-year-old Adrian Moreno picked up his red Jeep Wrangler from the mechanic shop and took two of his friends, Raul Pizarro and Jimmy Villa, to go four-wheeling. All three were found dead the next day at the river bottom near 5500 S. 91st Avenue.
Police have few leads. Moreno was last seen in his jeep at a Circle K at 91st Avenue and Van Buren and witnesses reported seeing two dark SUV's, one black and the other dark green, follow him as he left.
Moreno's wife, Aurora, and his brother, Damien, made an appeal to the public on Saturday, pleading for anyone with information to come forward.
"I was married to him for 11 years, together for 14 years so from one day to the next to find out that he's gone, it's hard," Aurora said.
She went door-to-door handing out fliers with other relatives.
"It's three people killed, it's not like some animal you know, it's humans," said Damien Moreno.
A $6,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest or indictment of the suspect or suspects.
