Search on for Mesa woman missing since Sunday

MESA, Ariz. – Mesa police are asking for the public’s help finding a woman who has been missing for nearly a week.

Brenda Lee Williams, 50, was last seen at about 7 p.m. Sunday at her Mesa home near McKellips and Power roads.

She did not show up for work on Monday and reportedly had not been in contact with anybody. That’s when she was reported missing.

Monday morning it was discovered that her car, a white 1994 Jeep Cherokee with the Arizona license plate ANH-5236, also was missing. The Jeep has butterfly stickers on its side and rear windows.

Her family, all of whom live out of state, believes Williams could be in danger. According to Mesa police, there are concerns about her state of mind. She reportedly has made suicidal statements in the past.

Williams is described as a white female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds. She has blond hair and brown eyes although she is known to wear colored contacts. She also has multiple tattoos.
