Weather change: Surprisingly mild morning for mid-JulyPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A change was in the air this morning, and Valley residents noticed right away when stepping outside. Temperatures cooled down quite a bit overnight, with some Valley spots getting down to the 60s during the early morning hours!
Recent overnight lows have been in the upper 80s, with humidity near 50 percent. Thursday morning's 60s and 70s were a nice change, with humidity levels closer to 15 percent.
We'll have another dry and cool night tonight after a mostly sunny day with Valley highs of about 103 degrees.
Our monsoon moisture has shifted east, and doesn't look to return to Arizona until the weekend.
There's a chance of storms in the weekend forecast for the high country, and for the Valley starting Sunday night and into the middle of next week.
