Man robs Scottsdale bank

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Scottsdale police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were called to the bank near Mountain View Road and 90th Street at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Officer David Pubins said the robbery suspect gave a demand note to a teller. After receiving an unspecified amount of cash, he exited the bank and fled eastbound.

Pubins said no one was injured and no weapon was seen.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a medium build, between 25 and 35 years old, and 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing sunglasses, blue jeans, a dark-colored polo-style shirt, and a brown-and-white hat with a logo.

Police released surveillance photos on Wednesday.

Scottsdale police detectives are working with a local task force to see if any other robberies can be attributed to the suspect.
