PHOENIX - A bicyclist is dead after being hit by a car Saturday morning.
Phoenix police responded to the collision at the intersection of 35th Avenue and Butler Road just before 10 a.m.
The victim has been identified as William Roy Piscilli, 57.
The intersection was closed for much of the morning as investigators tried to piece together the collision.
Investigators determined Piscilli was riding westbound on Butler when he failed to stop for a red light and collided with a vehicle traveling northbound on 35th Avenue.
Police said impairment is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
The 25-year-old driver did stop.
