Warmer today, drier heading into the weekend

PHOENIX -- Now that the dust has settled, we look ahead to our next round of storms.

There's the potential for more thunderstorms today across Arizona, with about a 20 percent chance of storms in the Valley by this afternoon and tonight.

Temperatures will be a bit warmer today, peaking near 107 degrees. That's just about average for this time of year.

With storms possible in the deserts of Southern Arizona, there's the potential for more blowing dust moving into the Valley.

Storm chances drop off a bit Friday and over the weekend, with forecast highs near 108 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

Overnight lows are forecast to stay mild, dropping only to the mid-80s.
