Vail Post Office damagedPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- It's been closed for sometime, but the old Vail Post Office has stood the test of time for more than 100 years.
For 103 years the old Vail Post Office has sat just north of the rail road tracks off Colossal Cave Road.
Now it sits tatered and torn and in danger of being lost.
J.J. Lamb says this area of Vail is notorious for harsh weather during the monsoons.
Monday's storm was no different. The wind ripped off the building's roof left volunteers collecting it's remnants Tuesday and trying to plug up any holes in the old adobe building before mother nature strikes again.
The building is apart of the Pepsi refresh program where Pepsi will rebuild or restore old buildings.
The society needs help now more than ever.
