Tucson headlines: Pedestrian injured; Drive-by shooting; Body found

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The monsoon was not the only thing that kept local firefighters and paramedics busy Tuesday.

A car slammed into a man crossing the street near 22nd and 6th Avenue.

A TFD crew working a storm-related call in the area arrived on scene within minutes.

The victim went to the hospital with serious injuries.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A drive by shooting on on Ina Road and La Cholla Boulevard put three people in the hospital.

One man and two women were driving on Ina when a dark boxy-type SUV, possibly a Land Rover, pulled up beside them and started shooting.

Shortly thereafter the victims' sedan crashed into a pole along Ina near Mona Lisa.

A passerby took two of the victims to the hospital and the other victim made it there as well.

Doctors expect all three victims to live.  Call 911 or 88-CRIME if you have information.

LUKEVILLE, Ariz. -- A body wrapped in plastic was found on the side of the road just 20 feet north of the international border near Lukeville.

The victim is an older Hispanic man who was killed then dumped there.  An autopsy Wednesday will find the cause of death.
