Facebook drama for Pima County GOPPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A new Independence Day twist to the ongoing infighting in the Pima County Republican party.
We got word of new changes to the party's Facebook page.
Now, only three administrators control the discussions on the page.
No one can make comments unless those administrators post a status first.
Critics say this is blatant censorship, all stemming from strong support for party chairperson Brian Miller.
We're also told several citizens posts have been deleted.
Plus, now you must be approved before joining the online Facebook group.
"It's hurting Pima County GOP and for this censorship and limit of free speech to happen over Independence Day weekend is appalling."
When voters asked about the changes.
Party leaders responded by saying, "It's their page, and they can do what they want with it."
The party is still planning to take steps to oust Miller.
