Dangerously hot weather this holiday weekendPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- With a high of 116 degrees in the forecast for Saturday, the Phoenix metro area is in for some dangerously hot weather.
Monsoon moisture is making its way into the state, which means we could seem some thunderstorm develop as early as Saturday night. Those storms are more likely Sunday and Monday.
An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for temperatures that are well above average.
Plan on a high of 112 in Phoenix on Friday, 116 on Saturday, 111 Sunday, and 110 Monday with that chance of storms. It won't be cooling off too much at night, low will be in the high 80s and even the low 90s.
