Young Tucson family gets keys to Habitat for Humanity homePosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- After nine months of building a house, Habitat for Humanity gave the keys to a young Tucson family Wednesday.
The family from Liberia is celebrating not only the new house but the first birthday for one of their daughters.
A happy day for every one involved.
"All the volunteers come out and build a home, all the donors help sponsor the home, and then the family pays the community back for the opportunity so we have to look for hard working families who want to work hard for this opportunity," said Michael McDonald with Habitat for Humanity.
Many of the people who helped build the home were also there to see the families smiling faces.
