Southern Arizona school districts seek bond approvalsPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Voters in the Vail School District, will get to vote November 8 on a 10% override to offset cuts from the state. That amounts to $1.5 million.
The district has been forced to reduce class sizes.
And the same goes for voters in Sunnyside School District. The board Tuesday night decided to ask voters to approve an $88 million bond and 10% override.
The money would fund technology, security, athletics fields, school buses, a magnet fine art school, and general renovations throughout the district.
The election is November 8.
