Tucson police officer shoots, kills shooting suspect

TUCSON, Ariz. -- There was a deadly police involved shooting that took place Monday night at Oracle and Roger just after 7:00 P.M.

Tucson police were called to a shooting at the Overboard restaurant. They found the victim bleeding and the suspect running away.

The suspect is 30-year-old Anthony Salcido.  A TPD officer shot and killed him.

"He allued to the fact that he wasn't going to be taken alive, and there was a physical altercation, a very physical altercation that started immediately with both officers. The other officer fired their duty weapon striking and killing him," said Sgt. Diana Lopez.

The victim is is expected to recover from his injuries and TPD is still investigating the motive for the shooting.
